Hi I could really use some advice. I am the owner of a brand new derma roller which I am using to treat cellulite.
But I've managed to scratch my legs really badly. Since the roller is brand new and from a reputable supplier, I must be doing something wrong.
IIt did not hurt while I was doing the treatment. But a couple of minutes after I've completed the treatment, I started seeing scratches on my legs which later turned red and burned throughout the night and still, 24 hours later, the scratches are still very red and sensitive.
Could this be due to faulty technique?

Hi Zippy, sorry for not responding sooner.
Which derma roller brand were you using? What is the needle length?
A derma roller isn't supposed to cause scratches. It should turn the whole area rolled red and sensitive though.
Closely examine the needle drum of the roller (maybe even using a magnifying glass). Is one of the needles bent by any chance? This could explain the scratches, if so, just dispose it.
All needles must be straight for the roller to work properly. If the roller accidentally fell and received a hit it may be damaged. You therefore must get a new one!
Hope this helps,
HR

I have a dermaroller that is specifically made for the eyes with .5 needles. I need some advice on exactly how to use it.
